Jennifer Vimbor, MS, RD, LDN is the founder of Nutrition Counseling Services (NCS). The organization was created in 2003 to promote optimal nutrition, health and well-being.
Additionally, she is the Lead Nutritionist at Downsize Fitness, a facility created to assisted overweight and obese individuals effectively and healthfully lose weight...and keep it off.
Jennifer received her Masters Degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University in New York City. She is a Registered Dietitian(RD) and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN). Additionally, she is certified in food safety from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation's ServSafe® Program.
As a result of her clinical experience at St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan in New York City and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Jennifer incorporates current science with nutrition concepts and education. She effectively conveys this information at NCS according to the needs of the client.
As an avid runner, multi-marathoner, and triathlete, Jennifer has first-hand knowledge of the nutritional needs of the athlete. She was the Nutritionist for the New York Runners Only Club and has worked with Chicago Areas Runners Association (CARA). Additionally, Jennifer is the Sports Nutritionist for Team Marathon Bar at Chicago's Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon and advises numerous athletes in groups and privately, including beginner to professional athletes, dancers, runners, triathletes, body builders, and yoga instructors, on eating for success.
Jennifer has been seen on and/or affiliated with local and National radio and television shows such as ABC and NBC Morning & Nightly News, The Tyra Banks Show, WGN Weekend News and MSN/NBC's Biggest Loser. Additionally, she has been featured or quoted in many national publications.
